BRIDLEWOOD NEWS & INFORMATION
RAIDS Online, an interactive crime map website, is now available for citizens of Fort Bend County.
Through a grant that benefited several law enforcement agencies in the county, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office now has a website geared solely to help residents in the unincorporated areas of the county to track crime in their neighborhoods.
KNOW WHERE YOUR PROPERTY BOUNDRIES ARE: Please make sure you know where your property boundaries are. Owners on Gapps Slough (“the big lake”) are responsible for mowing the grass to the water.
There is no common property along this lake except near the ends at Berdett and the Section 3 park. The lots adjacent to Bonbrook go all the way to the Bonbrook fence line.
LOT MAINTENANCE/UNDERBRUSH: Please remember that cleaning out under the trees on your lot is part of the required lot maintenance.
EMAIL GROUP: If you are not on our neighborhood email group, please join. Send your email to ahoelscher@comcast.net. This is the best method we have for immediate communication.
SAFETY: If you are out at night, please remember that it is very dark in the neighborhood. Please wear light colored clothing. If your dog is on a leash with you, make sure that they have some type of reflector on or that you are very close to them. It is very hard to see bikers and walkers at night, even with the reflective strips on shoes. Also, if you are driving through the neighborhood, please drive slowly. There are posted speed limits, but at night, please be aware of walkers and bikers.
BUNCO: The ladies of Bridlewood get together for Bunco once a month at someone’s home. Come join us for a night of fun and meet some of your neighbors! If you are interested, please contact Vivian Douglas at: apf_douglasv@hotmail.com.
PETS: All pets must be in a fenced area or on a leash. If you see a pet loose, please report it to Fort Bend County Animal Control 281-633-7587.
STAY ALERT: All residents need to be on the lookout for any suspicious/illegal activity in the neighborhood. If you see activity such as solicitors, littering, speeding, dumping animals, cars parked at the park or people loitering in the park after dark, please report this to the Sheriff. It is helpful if you can get a license plate number of the vehicle, if they have one. Please also report these issues to the Board or CIA Services so we can track any ongoing problems. Please contact Fort Bend Sheriff Dispatch at 281-342-6116 for any non-emergency issues. Always call 911 for an emergency. If you are going to be out of town for vacation, you can contact the Sheriff for “Vacation House Watch”.
QUADVEST WATER: If you have any questions about your water, call Quadvest at 281-356-5347. If it is a weekend, you should choose option 3 for Emergency so they will be contacted at the time you report the problem. With the drought, the ground is shifting and we have had a few water leaks. If you see standing water, please report it to Quadvest and send a log of the call to BEPOA@CIASERVICES.COM so that the Board can track issues.
CIA SERVICES: CIA Services has an email BEPOA@CIASERVICES.COM (Bridlewood Estates Property Owners Association) for all correspondence regarding the neighborhood. This email is monitored by office staff and is the best address to use for any questions for CIA or the Board.
The Section 3 Lake is a "catch and release" lake. Bridlewood owners are welcome to fish in the lake, but any fish caught need to be released alive back into the lake. No nets or traps should be set in the lake at any time.
